The Surroundings magazine was founded in 2021. The magazine focus on events, businesses and local skaters. This magazine aims to promote skateboarding in a positive light and fight the stereotypical opinion of skateboarding. Skateboarding is often perceived as a thuggish or childish activity and not a sport, the general public often have a negative outlook on the world of skateboarding and its participants. The Surroundings magazine aims to challenge the stereotype and highlight the positive attributes of skaters and the world of skateboarding.

Some photographers are obsessed with cities and the currents and under currents of urban life. As an observer, Lizzy seeks the extraordinary and ordinary happenings, preserving little moments that may otherwise be lost forever. These happenings are preserved and given importance our magazine.
